Why Charge at Home

Why homeowners go Level 2

Level-2 speed

A dedicated 240V circuit adds many more miles of range per hour than a standard household outlet.

Safe, dedicated circuit

No overloaded outlets or extension cords — a purpose-built circuit protected and installed to code.

Right-sized capacity

Sized to your charger and panel, with room to grow — so a faster charger later is less likely to mean redoing the work.

Clean installation

Tidy conduit, concealed where possible, and neat terminations — work you'll be glad to show off.

Chargers We Install

Tesla, universal, or a simple outlet

Not sure which is right for you? Tell us your vehicle and we'll recommend the best fit.

Tesla Wall Connector

A hardwired, high-output home charger for Tesla vehicles — clean wall-mounted install with the circuit sized to match.

Universal J1772 / NEMA 14-50

A universal J1772 station or a NEMA 14-50 outlet that works with the portable cable most EVs include — any brand, any make.

Plug-in vs hardwired

A plug-in NEMA 14-50 is flexible and portable — easy to take with you. Hardwired supports higher continuous amperage and a cleaner, built-in look.

Done to code, with a permit

Whatever you choose, it's installed by a licensed contractor, permitted, and inspected — not a weekend shortcut.

How It Works

Three simple steps

1 · Assess

We review your panel and the best charger location, then confirm the right equipment for your vehicle.

2 · Load calc & permit

A proper load calculation confirms capacity, and we pull the permit before any wire is run.

3 · Install & test

We install, have the work inspected, and verify your charger delivers power safely before we leave.

Common Questions

EV charging, answered

Do I need a panel upgrade to add an EV charger?

Sometimes — it depends on your panel's spare capacity. We run a load calculation first; if there isn't room, we can upgrade your panel at the same time.

Plug-in (NEMA 14-50) or hardwired — which is better?

A plug-in NEMA 14-50 outlet is flexible and lets you take a portable charger with you. A hardwired unit supports higher continuous amperage and gives a cleaner, permanent look. We'll help you pick based on your vehicle and setup.

How fast will it charge?

A Level-2 240V circuit charges far faster than a standard outlet — typically a full overnight charge for most daily driving. Exact speed depends on your vehicle and the circuit amperage, which we size during the assessment.

Are there rebates or tax credits?

Incentives for home EV charging change over time and vary by program. We'll point you toward current utility and federal programs so you can check what you may qualify for before you buy.
